Mother's Day Rembrance

Mother's Day
Thousands walk to remember those torn away from loved ones through the scourge of breast cancer. And for the first year someone walks in memory of Nancy. Today I rejoice that her race is run. Meanwhile, we walk on without her.

Praying for all of you today as you go through your first Mother's Day with Nancy in Heaven. I know your hearts miss her physical presence in such an intense way. How proud she must be of the job all of you have done to press on and to use your grief to encourage others like me who are walking a road quite different than we would have liked or imagined, but one ordained by our Father for reasons we can only trust Him for. Nancy's name graced my shirt as well this morning as I walked the Komen race. She is not forgotten...

No, she is not forgotten. You are so right, Sue. And the beauty that God gave her she distributed generously to her family and others - like passing out wildflowers to everyone she met.
