A new week awaits

It's been a tough weekend. I spent lots of time alone since KJ was in NYC visiting friends. The house feels "booby trapped." Everything here makes me think of Nancy. It will take a while to figure out how to walk through this minefield of memories.

Meanwhile, I will head back into the office tomorrow. It's time. I will have to learn how to navigate work as I face ongoing reminders of our many years of working together under the WHM Banner. But I must walk into the minefields if I am going to move into the future.

hey dan,

checkin in...could try to comment more but for now just wanting you to know that I prayed for you today as you go back to SC & am thankful to read how God continues to work in and through you brother. praying as you negotiate the minefields. speaking of minefields, i just read an article about a british sargeant who had been awarded some of the top Brit. Army medals for clearing paths through minefields in the gulf & facilitating the rescue of some troops. not sure the "minefield" link means much here except to say that perhaps it is encouraging to think of the Father's present love and future medals that await us (weary, battle scarred, "bloggers" that we are). Continue to appreacite and take courage from the faith demonstrated in your journey. with much love Dan,
Matt for the Irvines

Praying for you as you live and breathe in the minefields... At least at work you'll be with so many wonderful people that should one go off, friends will be right there with you!
